Clinic Visit Procedures

- We kindly request all visitors to wear a mask.
- No appointment is necessary.
- If necessary, please arrange for an interpreter.
- (Doctor speaks English a little, but if there is an interpreter, the conversation will be more smoother.)
- If you use traveler's insurance or credit card insurance, please check in advance whether your insurance is valid and how to make a claim.

- Japanese insurance card (if you are a member of the Japanese health insurance system)
- Travel insurance card
- Identification card
- Cash (as we do not accept credit cards or cashless payment)

The time required is between 30 minutes and an hour

- Upon arrival at our clinic, please approach the reception desk.
- We will check your travel insurance card and ID card.
- We will ask for your name, address, date of birth, contact information, and other brief information.
- A deposit of 5,000 yen is required as part of the initial consultation fee at the time of reception.
- After the consultation, you will be asked to pay the rest of the consultation fee.
- Please wait in the waiting room until you are called to the examination room.

Consultation Process

- The consultation will typically take about 10-30 minutes.
- During this time, the doctor will ask you about your symptoms and perform a physical examination of your ears, nose, and throat.
- This may include using instruments such as an otoscope, nasal speculum, and laryngoscope.
- The doctor may also order some tests, such as a blood test, hearing test, or tympanometry.
- If necessary, the doctor will prescribe medication tailored to your specific symptoms and diagnosis.
After Consultation
- Please wait in the waiting room after the examination.
- We will call you from the reception desk when your payment is ready.
Accounting
After the consultation, you will be asked to settle the remaining consultation fee.
Only Japanese yen in cash is accepted for payment.
If you have a prescription for medication, we will give you a prescription
Please bring your prescription to the pharmacy within 4 days.
The pharmacy is located on the first floor of the building.

- If you have Japanese public insurance, please present your insurance card.
- If you use travel insurance, please check the coverage and claim procedure in advance as described above
- Most travel insurance policies require that you first pay for your medical treatment at our hospital, and then file a claim after you return to your home country.
- Japanese-language medical certificates can be issued on the same day.
English-language medical certificates cannot be issued on the same day. - Please prepare cash for the payment

- Medical care in Japan is mainly covered by public insurance.
- If you do not have Japanese public insurance, you will not be covered by public insurance and will be treated as a self-pay patient.
- Self-pay patients are charged at each medical institution's own rates.
- At our clinic, the initial consultation fee is 5,000 yen, and additional charges will apply depending on the examination, tests, procedures, and prescriptions performed.
- The total cost for regular consultations is usually less than 20,000 yen, but please ask the doctor for details during the consultation.
